Ecommerce truly changed how Internet is being used today by most of the local online users. They made Internet more than just a platform to communicate globally and to gather worldwide coverage of information in a snap. This shift on online user behavior is actually a good thing for us. Internet has become more valuable in our lives more than ever as we do most of our activities online. Actually, the trend in online nowadays is online shopping, which is currently on the rise in the Philippines. A lot of us never envision online shopping as an accepted option dating a couple of years back. The rate in the Philippines both offline and online is off the roof in the country. In the end, this made online transaction the least option to many local online users. Local online classified websites were the premiere local website for most local online users in the buy and sell industry.

The arrival of local online malls in the country was actually prepared by these local online classifieds. They started the marketplace community in the country. It made it hard for local online users to buy what they want online when local online classifieds did not exist yet. It was to check the industry price value of items that users want to buy. It slowly showed how Internet be diversify by online users to maximize its purpose. It was a venue for buy and sell local online audience. It's very different from Ecommerce since local online users deal with third party resellers. Third party resellers and buyers usually do offline transactions.

Local online users made an impact to local online users.  They guided the people for the arrival of Ecommerce in the country. By the time of Ecommerce website launching, local online users were already prepared. People consider online shopping since the risk is way lower than the reward. Group buy website offered unconventional better deals to local online users. Their prices were way below the SRP that customers will have a hard time to pass. A year ago, the Lazada Online Mall was launched in the Philippines. It is an online store venture available in South East Asia. It is backed by the Samwer brothers and is under the Rocket Internet umbrella. Lazada influenced the Ecommerce industry with its various online payment methods.

With so many payment methods available, this allowed online customers to be in control. In online, it’s usually only credit card or PayPal payment is allowed by online stores. The conventional way of online payment is actually hard for most local customers since they don't have either of the two conventional payment methods online. They first introduced Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. to their customers.  This made the untapped market a reachable market audience in the Philippines. This is actually the majority market or audience in the country. It has helped Ecommerce thrive more than ever with the tapping of this huger market in the Philippines.
