Lazada Philippines: The growing online shopping industry in the country

Shopping has truly changed over time. Gone are the days when we relied on traditional malls to address our shopping needs. Most of the time, we just get tired and waste our time and money just going to the mall. We all have been aware of the online shopping existence in the global scene. However, it took the country awhile to have the Ecommerce industry to arise in the country. Actually, online shopping started to spread and competitors came out from nowhere after Lazada Online Mall was launched in the country. The Ecommerce industry was not growing if you go back a few years from their launch. To most online users, shopping online was never choice or option to them back then.

Second hand items on local online classified websites are usually preferred by local online users when they want to buy something. Conventionally, customers prefer to go on traditional mall when they want to purchase something brand new. It is expected from us given that we were raised shopping on traditional offline malls when want to buy something. However, most of us fail to realize that we can actually save time and money in online shopping. How does online shopping benefit us? If local consumers opt for online shopping, they can do wherever and whenever they want. Customers are no longer required to go to traditional offline malls saving them more money on the usual gas expense.

Lazada actually wanted to solve this issue for local online consumers in the Philippines. They were also facing an issue on how they can also tap the untapped market in online. The population of the country is populated by non-credit cardholder that's why only few can pay online. We are just used to not trusting online transactions immediately. It is probably because we are aware of the existence of online frauds and scams. The Ecommerce industry is now getting recognized in the local online platform. It's actually amazing to see that Lazada is making an impact on Ecommerce and is rapidly reaching success with their year of tenure, which is a remarkable feat for them.

Customers can even check their TVC on top local channels that was aired during primetime to prove how legitimate they are. So how did they solve this Ecommerce barrier in the Philippines? A new alternative payment method in online was introduced by them called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. It's very rare for an online store to actually offer this kind of alternative payment method. From an online business owner's point, it is very risky on their part. It is payment method that allows online users to pay only after they receive their orders. Once orders are delivered, that's the only time customers are required to pay in cash. No need for customers to worry since they get to keep their money up until they receive their orders. Their intention is tell their customers that shopping on their mall won't lead them to be scammed.
