Giving online users an easy advantage in online shopping


It is nice to see that most of us are adapting to the changes on what technology can offer to us like offering shopping online. It is actually a rising industry in the country for the past couple of years.  As a matter of fact, numerous online malls were launched in the country and online shopping started to be a popular option for consumers ever since Lazada arrived in the country. Actually, Ecommerce was a struggling in the industry prior to their arrival in the country. Local online users initially looked down upon online shopping as an alternative option for addressing their shopping needs. The local online users are more open in dealing at local online classified websites when they want to buy second hand items.

Usually, local consumers visit traditional offline malls when they want purchase something that is brand new. It's actually inevitable for us to visit traditional offline malls when we want to buy something since we grew up that way. Time, energy and money can be saved if local online consumers go with online shopping. So how consumers can be helped by online shopping? As long as local consumers go with online, they can do it wherever they please. They can actually save more in gas expense since no longer will they need to visit the mall's location. It was an issue that was long endured by local customers that Lazada wanted to solve for them. It was difficult for online malls to tap the local online market of the country.

The online market in the country was hard to penetrate since majority of the population can't pay online due to most of them not have their own credit card. It's just that we also don't trust so easily especially when it involves money transactions. Majority of us are informed about online frauds and scams that other people encounter when dealing in online. The local Ecommerce in the Philippines is now starting to grow. In just less than a year, Lazada was able to establish them in the local Ecommerce industry. In order for them to make a big statement that they can be trusted as a legit business, they even had a TVC that run on top local channels during primetime.

Since Ecommerce in the country is limited, how did they come up with a solution? They offered Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. to their customers as an alternative payment method. It's a payment method that is not just offered typically by online malls. The reason behind is that not all online business will risk their business for this payment method. Online customers can pay later after they receive their orders with this alternative payment method. What's great about this is that customers will only pay once they receive their orders. Their customers won't need to worry since they get to keep their money until their orders are delivered. This is more of insurance for customers that they are not a scam online store.
