Lazada Improved Local E-commerce and economy

The online shopping website as well as retail store called lazada.com.ph/   has contributed so much to the development of the local e-commerce economy. It is not just another company that sells stuff online to take people’s money. It is a company that positively affects the economy and the people that are involved in it. The company has become a catalyst for change in the local economy both e-commerce and otherwise. The impact that the company have had on the people and the consumers attitudes brought on more energy and dynamism in what used to be a stale and sluggish industry. Nowadays a lot of people shop online because they have found Lazada Philippines. Lazada changed consumer’s behaviour towards the idea of online shopping. I can recall not so long ago that when shoppers wanted to purchase a particular item that they have been saving up for, they would usually set aside a time to go to the mall, leaf through catalogues or watch home television shopping networks. In the contemporary era, things have changed, it is different. Change has come along rapidly due to the wide spread proliferation of the internet. The medium that made everything and e-commerce possible. These days, online shopping consumers and shoppers can browse endlessly online and do some virtual window shopping. They do it without even leaving the comforts of their home through their laptops, computers, smart phones, tablets and any other device that offers internet accessibility. The internet has absolutely broken a lot of barriers as shown by the rapid influx of online business entrepreneurs who are doing their own thing and marketing their own products. Entrepreneurs are now free to pursue any internet business they want, no one holds them back.

Lazada’s existence and the existence of other online shopping websites overall has a direct effect in bringing the general cost down for the shoppers. It has lessened the fees and reduced the cost of products and goods. It somehow makes a lot of sense since online shopping websites like Lazada has lesser operational cost than its traditional counterparts thus the company can compete and offer lower prices on the products and goods that they are selling. The lower prices has a direct positive impact on the accessibility of online shopping for the general population since lower prices means that more people can afford the products being sold on the website.

The company’s business success was not just felt within the local e-commerce industry as the thriving online retail business also impacted other industries such as the shipping and delivery sector. The positive effects of its success can also be seen on other industries. One particular industry that has been affected by Lazada’s success is the courier services industry. Since Lazada’s main business concept revolves around the idea of remote product delivery, the company of course has teamed up with local courier companies and that meant added business for the companies commissioned to deliver the products to Lazada’s consumers. The boost in additional business also meant that those courier companies would require additional manpower thus positively affecting and alleviating the unemployment situation in the country which in turn translates to a more robust overall economy.

As technology, e-commerce and target markets become more and more intertwined, transactions are being conducted at a rapid, quicker pace. Quick transactions mean fast product movement and fast product movement means more demands for products which directly affects manufacturing businesses and improved overall economy.
