Lazada Philippines: A rising activity in online

It is no surprise to us that Ecommerce started to grow in the country. With the penetration of the mobile market industry, it only made it easier for anyone to be connected online most of the time. Somehow, it made shopping online an activity that is becoming a common thing for most online users. As a matter of fact, online shopping started to spread and competitors came out from nowhere after Lazada Online Mall was launched in the country. As a matter of fact, Ecommerce was having a hard time in penetrating the local online market just a few years back. For short, not all local online users regarded online shopping as an option to their shopping needs. Local online users usually visited local online classified websites when they are looking for a second hand item. As for local consumers who want to buy something new, they usually visit traditional offline malls. It is expected from us given that we were raised shopping on traditional offline malls when want to buy something.

Surprisingly, we always forget that we can save more money and time in online shopping. How can online shopping really benefit us as a consumer? Local customers can actually shop anywhere you want with online shopping. Money spent on travel expense will now be deducted since customers won't need to travel to the location of traditional malls. They actually wanted to solve this issue for local online consumers in the Philippines. It's actually hard for any online mall to tap the currently untapped market in online of the Philippines. Probably, majority of the Filipinos are not credit card owners or PayPal account users. It's quite hard for the local online consumers to trust online deals right away. Online frauds and scams are pretty widely known online crisis by the local online users. The Ecommerce industry is now getting recognized in the local online platform. It's really hard to imagine that Lazada has only been here for more than a year yet it contributed dearly on the Ecommerce industry. For them to show their customers that they are real, they came out on TVC during primetime on top local channels.

Given the limitations in Ecommerce, how did they solve it? A newly then alternative payment method called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. was introduced to their online customers. It's very rare for an online store to actually offer this kind of alternative payment method. This payment method is risky for any online business. With Cash on Delivery or C.O.D., customers don't need to pay right away unlike with other payment methods were it is required to pay right away. Cash payments can be done by customer once there delivers their orders at there very home. This allows customers to hold their money until they received their actual orders in real time. Their intention is tell their customers that shopping on their mall won't lead them to be scammed. As long as a customer feel that they have control over their in online, it is easier for them to say, “yes” to online shopping.

  1. Many daily deal sites offer travel deals that are affordable, they give promos and discounts. Grantonworld Ph offers these deals and my first experience of purchasing a travel deal from them was successful.
