issue for local online consumers in the Philippines. It was difficult for
online malls to tap the local online market of the country. The online market
in the country was hard to penetrate since majority of the population can't pay
online due to most of them not have their own credit card. It's just that we
also don't trust so easily especially when it involves money transactions.
Majority of us are informed about online frauds and scams that other people
encounter when dealing in online. The Ecommerce industry is now getting
recognized in the local online platform. To see the progress of Lazada online
mall making an impact on the local Ecommerce is quite amazing.
To prove that they are a legit
online mall, they were seen on TVC on top local channels at primetime. How were
they able to come up with a solution to break the Ecommerce limitation in the
Philippines? They first introduced Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. as an alternative
payment method. It's very rare for an online store to actually offer this kind
of alternative payment method. The reason behind is that not all online
business will risk their business for this payment method. Online customers can
pay later after they receive their orders with this alternative payment method.
What's great about this is that customers will only pay once they receive their
orders. Their customers won't need to worry since they get to keep their money
until their orders are delivered. Their intention is tell their customers that
shopping on their mall won't lead them to be scammed.
