Online mall now rising in the country

Ecommerce have been struggling for so long in country. We barely used Internet for shopping but more on getting information or communication. These have been the trend for a while up until last year. Ever since Lazada came into the picture, other local online business was put to live as online shopping started to roll upwards. The growth of Ecommerce in the past was very slow a few years before they arrived in the country. Online shopping was actually not a highly regarded option for most users in the past. When local online users want to buy something, they prefer cheaper second hand items on local classified websites. Usually, local consumers visit traditional offline malls when they want purchase something that is brand new. It's pretty normal to see since most of us grew up visiting traditional offline malls when we need something.

With online shopping, local online consumers can actually save their time and money. So how online shopping can help consumers? Online shopping can be done anywhere the local customer is located. No more extra spending on travel costing since customers will no longer need to go traditional malls. This is one of the customer woes that the online malls wanted to solve for the local online consumers. The online community of the country was actually hard to tap by online malls. It was probably due majority of the population no owning a credit card, which is the most common payment method in online. It can't be helped that most of us questions the reliability of online transactions/ Majority of us are informed about online frauds and scams that other people encounter when dealing in online.

In the Philippines, online shopping is actually an industry that is on the verge to rise. The Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall is just over one year of operation but they managed to make an impact on the Ecommerce industry. In order for them to make a big statement that they can be trusted as a legit business, they even had a TVC that run on top local channels during primetime. They formulated a method in order to break the Ecommerce wall in the country.

The Philippines' Online Shopping Mall offered Cash on Delivery or more known as C.O.D. as an alternative payment method. This payment method is very unconventional to be offered in online. This is a risky payment method for any online business owners. Customers are not actually required to pay upfront; instead they can pay once their orders are delivered at their homes. Customers will only need to pay in cash once their orders arrive at their doorstep. Their customers won't need to worry since they get to keep their money until their orders are delivered. The goal of the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall is to make sure that their customers can trust them with this payment method. Thru this payment method, it broke the barrier between the local online consumers and the online malls. A typical online mall will only accept credit card or PayPal payment before they even process the customer’s orders.
