Lazada: No more struggles in online payment

Online payment is usually a struggle for most people. Forms are usually filled with personal information and require us to submit our credit card details that expose us to hackers. It's more challenging for countries that are still new to online payments. Doing online payment should be done accordingly and users new to online payment may struggle. You might get billed more than what you originally paid for if not done correctly. Problem in dealing with online business is that it takes time for processing takes longer days compared when you deal with offline businesses. It's quite easy. You pay money and get what you want in real time. But now that we are leaving in a digital era, we now have other options.

A good example is that we can now shop online. No longer it is required to waste time and energy visiting traditional malls just to shop. For online shopping, you will only need Internet access and an Internet capable device. You just need to visit their website to check what they have to offer online. The online industry here in the Philippines is very different. A few years back, we never had online shopping in the country. No everyone possesses a credit card to do online transactions. Ecommerce hard grew then as an industry. The penetration of Ecommerce was really struggling in the low market It's actually great that that arrival of Lazada made the penetration of Ecommerce much easier. It made Ecommerce relevant to the country when they arrived.

With Cash on Delivery or C.O.D., not owning your own credit card will still allow you to shop online with them. All the customers need to do is leave their shipment address and name when they order at the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall thru Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. They will deliver it at the shipment address and only ask for the payment once it is handed over to their customers at their doorsteps. It marked the first time Cash on Delivery was offered as an alternative online payment method in the country. The Ecommerce industry benefitted from the option of Cash on Delivery despite being offered in the past by fast food delivery. This opened our eyes on how online shopping can help us online. Since they arrived in the country, other competitors eventually showed up. These allowed us to have more options in shopping rather then before when we only had offline shopping as our option.

Ultimately, they made online payment very friendly to local online users, to the point it helped Ecommerce in finally penetrating the local online market. Despite having these game-changing payment options, they didn’t stop in further improving what they can offer to their customers. A month ago, they opened credit card installment on their online store. It was exclusive for BDO credit card holders but I’m sure it will open to other banks pretty soon. Just recently, they even partnered with MegaLink. It only shows that Lazada tirelessly look for ways to make it even better for their customers.
