It keeps on getting better with Lazada

In the Philippines, it was last year when one of the Rocket Internet’s ventures was launched. Lazada is the Internet Giant Rocket Internet that is owned by the Samwer brothers’ powers it. Besides Philippines, it is also a venture available in other South East Asia countries. South East Asia was on the rise and they wanted to be ahead in Ecommerce. They are actually known to be successful already on other ventures they established on the other side of the country. It has already become part of the lifestyle to other elite countries in the globe. The industry of Ecommerce in the Philippines before they arrived is growing slowly. The local online population was unable to pay online since they don't have their own credit cards.  They were also very cautious in trusting websites that involves dealing their money. When you come to think of it, it’s pretty much the same with entrusting your money to a stranger.

Most of us only have low Internet speed. Owners of credit cards are only limited. Credit cards are the usual payment method accepted by online stores. With the introduction of C.O.D. or Cash on Delivery as an alternative online payment method, it allowed anyone to experience online shopping. To me, this has given Ecommerce a new life by allowing non-traditional customers who can't pay via credit card to still become customers. Right now, most offline businesses are now entering the online medium as well since Lazada arrived in the country.  This had a domino effect in the local Ecommerce in the Philippines. Competitors showed from nowhere.

As soon as the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall’ showed the ropes to local businessmen, it triggered them to go online as well. It was really hard to penetrate the local online market that's why Ecommerce really struggled to get up on its feet. The local online community who has online shopping capabilities still said no to online shopping. Not everyone who can pay online the conventional way are willing to do transaction online. Their growth in Ecommerce was hardly improved due to the current online shopping woes that plagued our country. It was online classifieds that ruled online. Classified websites, which are close to Ecommerce like Sulit.com.ph and Ayosdito.ph, were the only websites that dominated the local online platform.

On the other hand, online shopping malls were deeply challenged in the online scene. The online shopping industry wasn't really highly regarded in the first place.  This full blown online marketing exposure was executed in order to erase the past Ecommerce woes. It was very unlikely that you missed out all of their online marketing campaigns. Their brand quickly catapulted as one of the elites with their massive online advertisement executions. From their customer's perspective, they manage to be on the top because of their overall online shopping service to their customers. Free Delivery Availability accompanies their Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. payment method as well. Customers will also get standard manufacturer's warranty that we usually get from traditional malls.
