Lazada: Seeking more options in shopping

A lot of us prefer to go the easier way when doing things. Who would actually go the other way if there were a quicker way of doing things? The same goes for addressing our shopping requirements. Shopping nowadays is much easier since we can go for either offline or online shopping. The local consumer gets an upper hand since time of availability won't matter anymore. These are the people who work during unusual hours. These are the customers who work during at night and are asleep all day. However, they can't go to malls during regular hours and are only free when it is closed. These make it hard for them to visit traditional offline malls. Traditional malls are only available to them when they don't have work. This is clearly harder for people who work on different time schedule. It actually benefits them now that online shopping is an available option. A lot of established offline business is now shifting to online. It only started in the country last year in the Philippines.

By the time Lazada had arrived in the country, their competitors showed up from nowhere. They are actually one of the first online malls established in the country. They were also launched in other South East Asia countries. After they arrived in the country, Ecommerce immediately grew exponentially. Their impact on local online market is undeniable. Since the competition is really low, it's only natural for them to launch it in the country. Their challenge is how they will lure Internet users to visit their online mall. Local online users were hard to convert to online customers since online payment is no easy task for them. It's just really hard to trust online since credit card details might be compromised if used online. It is no secret to anyone that we are living in a cruel world was stealing also exist in online. It is more alarming when it is done offline as you have no idea were it will take place since can pretty much do it remotely from anywhere in the world.

Moreover, credit cards are not widely used in the country since only a fraction of the population posses it. It slowed down the Ecommerce growth in the country. It doesn't mean that customers have no clue about online payment. We don't give Ecommerce websites enough chance since we are close-minded and think only of the risk. It pretty clear that we don't trust online stores right away. We initially treat it as a scam in online. This pretty much speaks loudly that Ecommerce is a no joke for online investors. The Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall came out with something to solve these Ecommerce woes that plagued the country for so long. Their C.O.D. or Cash on Delivery alternative payment method as introduced to the local online users. Payment with them is not required to be right away and customers can keep it up until they receive their orders.
