My Favorite Cable TV Shows

Many of us avail cable TV but rarely watch shows from cable channels. Why purchase P500 and up worth of cable monthly when all we do is watch local channels? There’s nothing wrong with that but I think we should get more for what we pay for. I know it may be daunting to surf so many channels so here I am to introduce some cool shows on cable channels that you may have.

Cupcake Wars
From the name itself, this show is about four cupcake business owners/bakers competing for $10,000 and a chance to present their delectable creations in popular events. Every episode has a different theme. It’s cool and fast-paced, not to mention scrumptious whenever various cupcakes are tasted by the judges. This show airs on Global-Destiny cable BeTV channel 62 every night at 8pm and 10pm.

Man VS Food
Hosted by Adam Richman, he travels around the U.S. to taste popular dishes that are behemoth in size or flavor. He also tries to beat some food challenges from time to time. It airs on TLC channel 53 on Global-Destiny cable and channel 62 on Sky cable.

Saturday Night Live
The live comedy-sketch show is very popular in the U.S. Many actors/actresses and musicians guests/hosts this show. American humor can be funny, too. It airs on JackTV channel 30 on Global-Destiny and channel  51 on Sky cable.

The Trade of Fakes

They say imitation is the best form of flattery. But when it comes to trade, it may mean dwindling profits for originals and pioneers but rising profits for imitators. In business, there will always be creative ideas that sell and others will take advantage of this breakthrough. But when it leads to a much greater toll/effect on not just the original makers but also to consumers, that’s when opinions/concerns are thrown and actions are implemented to control what started out as a harmless copycat flattery.

Here’s an interesting documentary about it:
