Lazada Philippines—Raising the Bar for Online Shopping

Before the invention of the internet, a lot of things that we are taking for granted now are done differently. For starters, the way we talk and communicate with other people have become quicker and more accessible. Our ability to gather information and digest media has also changed significantly. Even the way we buy things have become entirely different. One of the by-products of this evolution is online shopping and Lazada Philippines is changing that again.

We used to buy things by going to malls or their actual stores. We had to canvass around for the item in question, looking for the best brand and best prices from different shops until we found that is perfect for our budget and tastes. Then you had to go there, get the item, wait in line, and pay for it. Then you had to take it back home with you before you actually get to use it. It's a big hassle and a very cumbersome process. Fortunately, things are slowly changing with the advent of social media and online retail shops. Nowadays, you can simply go to Facebook or Multiply to look for items sold by online retailers, contact them via direct message or thru text, handle the transactions for payments, and wait for the delivery or schedule a meet-up. It was so easy buying things from the net since I don't have to get out of the house for too long and it easy to compare prices. Not only that, but the prices are actually a bit cheaper when compared to shops since they don't have to pay rent so they can lower their prices even more.

I was sure that those online stores were the evolution of the shopping experience but I was very much wrong. When I discovered Lazada Philippines, I knew this would be a game changer. A simple glance at their website would be enough to tell you that this was no ordinary online shop. They had a dedicated support page, customer service, and they have their very own website! This was truly a different experience all together. From their web page, you can create your very own user account with a log-in and password. You can view all your orders and even have a wish list of sorts to remind yourself about the item that you would want to buy when you have enough cash. There is also a virtual shopping cart where you put your items that you want to buy and just like a real shopping mall, you first gather all the items you want to purchase before paying for them.

Payment is a non-issue as well. Before, I needed to get out of the house and find a bank that the seller has an account in. With the Philippines' Online Shopping Mall, there is no need for that since they accept credit card payments before being delivered right at my doorstep! You literally don't have to get out of your house anymore and that is a very big time- and energy-saver for my part. I thought that online shops were already the end of the line for the shopping experience but Lazada Philippines has raised the bar to an all new level!

Lazada PH: The Best in Online Sales

Online shops are slowly becoming the norm thanks to the power of the internet. If you are looking for something—let's say, a phone or a dress—then the best solution for that would be to go online and look for an online retailer that specializes in that. Most likely, you'll find yourself in a Facebook or Multiply page with a gallery of all the stuff that they are selling. Then you'd have to contact the page owner via comments or text for your purchase. This was how I bought my wares online until I was introduced to Lazada Online Shopping Mall.

Looking around their website, I can certainly say that their website feels different compared to the other online retailers that I have tried. For starters, they have their own website and not just a page from other social media sites. Items are categorized so that you can easily view the items without using the search function of your browser. To order, you can log-in to your own account and this is where you will see the items that you have put in your online cart. To add things to your cart, simply go to the item that you want and add it. It really doesn't get simpler than this.

Just by looking at the description above, I can safely conclude that the user experience is very different. Having a dedicated website with a dedicated team to handle your site is a big difference compared to those who sell retail on the net. Simply put, you know your transactions are being handled by a huge company and isn't your ordinary run-of-the-mill online store.

Lazada Philippines touts itself as the Philippines' Online Shopping Mall and rightly so. Most of the stuff that they sell are the items that you would typically find in the mall and they way they handle each and every order I had was as professional as it can get. I have yet to have any trouble regarding my orders; something that I cannot say regarding my orders with other online retailers.

They also have multiple options for payment which is based around on my convenience and not the sellers. For starters, they have the option to pay using a credit card and that is something that I think all online shops should have. Though from time to time, I have used the other methods such as the Cash on Delivery option an Dragon Pay, but paying through credit card is still the easiest method for me.

I can confidently say that this truly is the undisputed king when it comes to online shopping in the country. I was curious so I did a little detective work and discovered that Lazada Philippines also has an international presence. It can also be found in other countries as well such as Malaysia and Indonesia. It's mother company is Rocket Internet and is based in Germany. This really adds credibility to them in my book. After buying things from them, I hardly consider going to any other online retailer anymore—or even the mall for that matter. Why go to the mall, when the Philippines' Online Shopping Mall is one click away.
